Call for Support Iranian Queer Refugees in United States (April 6, 09)

Dear Iranian Queer Supporters,

As you might have known, the IRanian Queer Railroad is working on Iranian queer asylum seekers very close and our railroad is ending mostly to Canada, United States and Australia.

When our refugees arrive in Canada there will be governmental support and many non-profit organizations that will help them for resettlement.  But there are group of Iranian queer refugees who are recognized by office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees and they will be in United States in a few months. They will be resettled in some states such as California (Los Angeles), Illinois (Chicago) and Oregon (Portland).

Unfortunately we do not have any information if there would be organizations, groups or individuals that can provide accommodation for our new comers in the cities mentioned above for a few months.

I was wondering if you can help us in this mater or refer us to some well-known organizations that can provide this kind of supports in order to help Iranian queer refugees to start their free and new life with no fear of persecution on base of their sexual orientation.
