Be Very Careful in Arranging Meetings (January 26, 10)

This is a message from the Iranian Railroad for Queer Refugees and from the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender Rights Program at Human Rights Watch. We have been receiving reports from Iran that police, basij, and Revolutionary Guards may be working undercover on Manjam dot com and other sites. Sometimes they pretend to be homosexual, arrange meetings with people, and then arrest them or force them to give money.

Please be very careful in arranging meetings with people over the Internet.

We want to help if there is a way that we can. If you feel that you are in any danger, or want to share any information with us, please contact us immediately at help@irqr.net  or lgbt@hrw.org

Thank you. We hope to hear from you.
