A letter of Homosexual Catholics in the Maria Hilf Institute

Dear Friends in Persian Gay and lesbian Organization,

Thank you very much for the letter you sent us. Last year, in the Christopher Street’s Anniversary we informed of two Iranian male teenager’s unfortunate and painful destiny whom were sentenced to be executed in Iran.

 Some time ago I started helping an Iranian homosexual acquaintance of mine, whose name was Takis and who was getting deported back to his country. About Takis and many others like him, The Office of International Affairs did not want to accept the seriousness and the danger of deporting him/them back to Iran.

 I am active in the organization which is called the Praying Christian Organization. Although in Catholic Church believe that homosexuality in nature is an deficiency and fault, by our appearance in the church, I along with this organization, want to show that other ways of thinking are existed about this matter. We homosexual, male and female, considering ourselves God’s children and Christ’s brothers and sisters.

We know that totalitarian ideologies and fundamental religions are willing to do everything in order to role by their incorrect understanding and misinterpretation of the God’s words: in this case executing homosexuals by the name of God.

 The Praying Christian Organization is a religious organization who is interested in the spiritual activities. In other worlds we are not a political organization in common sense although some count us as one. But we prefer to stay the way we are. If there come any possibility for us to help you we will be happy to do so and we welcome the opportunity.
